Explorathon 2024 is part of Europe's biggest festival of research. Discover the cutting-edge arts, humanities, science and engineering happening on your doorstep through our free programme of events.

Join us for a fun and interactive Maker's Lab and a chance to build your very own environmental sensor! You'll get to experiment with simple sensor electronics and create your own code using the amazing BBC micro:bit mini-computer. We’ll even have some micro:bits for you to take away so you can continue your coding adventure at home!Places are free but capacity is limited and booking is essential. The session lasts around 90 minutes and is suitable for ages 8 and above.
